With a Success Rate So Low, Why Even Try To Succeed In a Network Marketing Home Business?
Written by Justine Simard on October 12th, 2009
There it is – the word that WILL MAKE YOU FAIL – “I’ll try”. Do you go to work and tell your boss “I’ll try to work today”? If you bought a franchise (let’s say a bakery), would you just try to get it open and try to sell a few bread rolls? Of course not, you wouldn’t just try, you would WORK HARD, MAKE IT HAPPEN and GET A RETURN ON YOUR INVESTMENT.
Well a net work marketing or direct sales business is no different. If you are just TRYING to succeed, you will NOT succeed.
Let’s look at the 4 main things you do when you are TRYING TO SUCCEED (i.e. FAILING):
1. Treat your business as a hobby.
This is when you work sporadically, in your spare time, putting your focus on the easy and enjoyable stuff and hoping for the best.
2. Ignore the system.
Reinventing the wheel in a network marketing business that has proven results will not work. The system is there because it has proven results. Thinking you can create better results without the system will hinder your success.
3. Stop learning.
This one is a little tricky. You start your business with a simple system, and you are told that if you follow the system you will succeed. This is true, as long as you understand that the system is a framework. The great thing is that you can start using the system quickly and start making money right away, but your business will not have a massive success unless you maximise your knowledge and skill within each step.
4. Have the wrong attitude.
How can you expect to run a successful business if you are lazy, negative, nave and inflexible? It makes sense to aim at the other side of the spectrum. The good news is that attitude is not set for life! Personal development can lead you to developing the right mindset to create your own success.
