What happened to the four wheel drive carry all was that it rocked down the rotted jungle track and emerged into the bright coastal sunlight as it burst out of the cool and dark forest. Leaving one of the great natural wonders of the world which is the Daintree rain forest, just 10 miles offshore we faced another on in the Great Barrier Reef. Northern Queensland, one of the least developed regions along Australia’s tropical northeast coast, is the only place where two wonders are located side by side.
